SANHQ iSCSI network access

Trying to setup and configure SANHQ on a virtual server.
Network I have patched 1 vmnic from each ESXi host into the iSCSI switch
and configured the switch ports to access the same vlan as the san.
Loadbalancing setting is "Route based on originating virtual port".
I have created a new distributed switch within vCenter and added the
single nic from both hosts. I have configured the portgroup to use the
same vlan as the san
I have installed SANHQ on a dedicated VM and have added a new nic to VM
and connected to newly created ds switch. Set static ip address in the
same subnet as the sans group ipaddress.
From the VM I cannot ping the group ipaddress (Destination host
unreachable.) nor will SANHQ detect the groups ipaddress.
Any idea where I may be going wrong?
